Located in the Town of Bridgetown, this modern clinic serves Bridgetown and surrounding communities, with a catchment area of 4500 people that will easily support at least two doctors. Bridgetown is part of the larger catchment area served by Soldiers Memorial Hospital, which is approximately 24 km. east of Bridgetown. Some financial assistance is available such as relocating expenses and depending on circumstances other expenses may be available. Some medical equipment already on site.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF BRIDGETOWN AND AREA
Bridgetown is a community of 1000 people with numerous surrounding communities that use Bridgetown as a service centre. It is less than two hours from the City of Halifax and international airport facilities. Both the Regional High School and Elementary School are situated in the town. Real estate is very moderately priced and at the present time there are homes available in town and the surrounding area. The Annapolis Valley where Bridgetown is situated has what is considered the most moderate weather for any part of Nova Scotia. The town and community have an abundance of sporting facilities, including a modern arena, lawn bowling greens, tennis courts, curling club, swimming pool, ball fields, soccer pitch as well as an excellent 18 hole golf course. The surrounding countryside offers almost everything an outdoor enthusiast would be interested in such as cross country skiing, fishing, hunting, canoeing, sailing, walking trails and many other enjoyable pastimes. The town is located along the Annapolis River and is only minutes from the Bay of Fundy, which boasts the highest tides in the world.
