The COVER-ALL Bridgetown Triathlon received a Legacy Award at the first-ever Annapolis Valley Events and Sport Tourism Association (AVESTA) Awards Luncheon on November 13 at the Old Orchard Inn in Greenwich.  The Triathlon was recognized for its contribution to tourism, economic growth and the development of athletes in the Annapolis Valley. Other award winners included: Ski Martock – Venue of the Year; Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival – Legacy Award for its 77-year history promoting and showcasing the Annapolis Valley; Rainbow Riders Gymnastics Club – Host of the Year for organizing the Eastern Canadian Tumbling and Trampoline Competition. The COVER-ALL Bridgetown Triathlon is held on the first weekend of August each year. It was started in 2002 and has grown to be the largest triathlon race in Atlantic Canada.
