A crowd of approximately 175 people braved the rainy weather to be on hand for the Official Opening of the new Bridgetown and Area Library. The ceremony marked the culmination of a close to ten year project by the Bridgetown and Area Friends of the Library Society, the Annapolis Valley Regional Library and the Town of Bridgetown.

The new Library has actually been open since early March and has been warmly embraced by the community. The space next to the Library has been leased to the Cool Water Cafe. Renovations for the Cafe will commence soon.
